God With Us
Note: We are unable to record or post sermons due to a flood in the building and the shuffling that has taken place as we deal with the damage. Thoughts from Pastor Mike's Sunday Morning Message:
Jesus was born humbly - not in a "fancy" way or an impressive way, not celebrated by the king and priests of Jerusalem - or even noticed - but he was celebrated and adored by the humble people he came to love and save. Oh, the rich and famous of Jerusalem were put on notice when the wise men from the east showed up! But they didn't come to worship.
We follow -- we worship -- a powerful God, who is mighty to save and heal and redeem both people and situations. But he's not a "fancy" God. He's not far off, or only there for the rich and famous. He's accessible to all, and he wanted us to know that from his first breath, his first night in that humble stable. He's a God who came not to impress us (though He is quite impressive!) ... He is a humble, loving God who just wants to be with us.
Will you take a moment in this busy holiday season to just be with your God and Savior?
"Salvation is found in no one else [but Jesus], for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." --Acts 4:12 (NIV)
